Rollz Motion Electric
- Charging Station: The unit is charged via a charging port which is convienently located on the joystick. The charger uses a standard wall outlet. Usual charge time is approximately 5 hours (from close to full depletion / usage). The Rollz Electric is designed so that the batteries do not need to be removed, only in situations where a replacement is required.
- Batteries: Batteries are 12.5Ah Li-on (or 288 watt hours), AC100-240V 50-60Hz. Charger uses a 2A output. For comparison, this is similar to a “small capacity ebike”. Batteries are covered for 24 months of ownership.
- Replacement Costs: We will have a full price list for replacement / support parts coming soon. We are working through a means of having these available to our clients at an affordable price.
- Motors: The motor(s) consist of 250W powered units.
- Walk Assist: In rollator form, a ‘walk assist’ has either a “constant power” or an “auto-power” mode. Further, if, for some reason, the user happens to start walking backwards (uphill, for example), a beeping sound will alert them. If the rollator senses a speed outside its maximum, a message indicating “EE” will appear, and brakes engage automatically. Taking ones hands away from the handgrip corrects the EE message and anti-fall is disengaged.
- Braking: The unit uses drum brakes with varied braking power. Braking is dependent on how much force is applied. ROllz has been using this ergonomic brake in all of its products for many years, and our experience has been positive. This “varied” brake power is also a unique feature which we have not seen in other products.
- Braking / Hand Function: We would want to ensure that your partner / spouse has “adequate hand function.” If possible, sending us a video would help determine if there is enough power/force to brake, however, you may be able to determine that based on the experience with rollator products to date.
- Delivery / Onboarding: This unit is sold “ready to roll”, with full support provided by Prairie Velo.
Prairie Velo ships with a variety of shipping companies. Delivery time is generally 3-4 business days. As soon as your order is picked up, you will receive an email with the tracking number.
If something is wrong with your Rollz Motion Electric within two years of purchase, contact us immediately. We will look for a solution as quickly as possible in consultation with Rollz International. We apply the warranty provisions below.
Repairs are possible after the warranty period has expired, against reimbursement of costs incurred. Please contact us directly for this.
Warranty provisions
Rollz® International BV, established in Delft in the Netherlands (hereinafter “Rollz”), in its capacity as manufacturer, guarantees the Rollz Motion Electric (hereafter: “product”) are produced under the following provisions:
- The general warranty period for the first owner (hereinafter: “customer”) is 24 months from the date of purchase.
- Rollz gives a five-year guarantee from the date of purchase on material and construction errors of the frame during normal use and maintenance.
- The battery is under warranty for a period of 18 months.
- The electric support system, except the battery, is under warranty for a period of 24 months.
- The warranty gives the right to repair, explicitly not to exchange or to take back the product.
- In case of repair, the customer takes care of the transport of the product to and from the store where it was purchased. Prairie Velo will arrange the repair in consultation with Rollz.
- The warranty can only be invoked if the customer provides Prairie Velo with a copy of the purchase receipt with purchase date and a clear description of the complaints, together with the defective product.
- The warranty period is never extended, even in the case of repairs.
- The warranty is not transferable and can therefore only be invoked by the first owner.
- The warranty does not affect the rights that the customer has under the law.
The warranty does not apply in the following situations:
- if the customer has made or ordered changes or repairs without prior written permission from Rollz or Prairie Velo;
- when defects have been caused by neglect or an accident and / or use or maintenance, other than what is stated in the manual;
- if the serial number is damaged or removed;
- if the damage to the product is the result of normal wear and tear.
Return policy
We want you to be satisfied every time you shop with us. But should you for any reason be unhappy with the goods you have purchased, you may return them to Prairie Velo within 15 days of receiving the product. We provide a return label but you are responsible for the shipping charges. Those will be deducted from your refund.
The condition of the product
It is your responsibility to take good care of the goods before returning them, and they must be returned in a condition where they can be resold without any depreciation of value. This means that the rollator must show no signs of scratches or other marks from usage, the seat remain unstained, the wheels wiped clean from dirt and show no signs of wear.
In case of depreciation of value the amount of the depreciation will be deducted in the refunded amount.Please note: all Rollz Motion Electrics are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
Packaging
The product must be returned in the original packaging.
Warranty
The frames are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner.
For the other rollator parts, standard one-year warranty terms apply. Any damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper use, maintenance neglect, etc. is not covered by the warranty.1. What is the Rollz Motion Electric meant for?
The Rollz Motion Electric is a 3-in-1 rollator walker, transport chair and electric wheelchair. As a rollator, it provides support for steady walking and can easily be converted into a transport chair/electric wheelchair by attaching the wheelchair package. Electric wheelchair mode offers two driving options: assisted push (automated pushing help) or joystick control (for independent driving).
2. Can I upgrade a Rollz Motion to a Rollz Motion Electric?
Yes. Any Rollz Motion, Rollz Motion Performance or Rollz Motion Rhythm can be upgraded to a Rollz Motion Electric with the help of a conversion kit.
3. What is the maximum weight capacity of the Rollz Motion Electric?
The Rollz Motion Electric has a maximum weight capacity of 220 lbs. It is not safe to have more than one person sitting on the seat and Rollz International cannot guarantee safety in such a situation.
4. How much does the Rollz Motion Electric weigh?
The Rollz Motion Electric weighs 49.82 lbs. including battery, and the wheelchair package adds an extra 9.5 lbs.
5. How long can I travel on one battery?
The Rollz Motion Electric has a driving range of 9.3 miles on a fully charged battery (lithium-ion 288 watts hours), but this range may vary depending on factors such as user weight, terrain type and driving behaviour.
6. How fast can I drive with the Rollz Motion Electric?
The maximum speed of the Rollz Motion Electric can vary depending on the driving mode:• Joystick control – 0.8 mph to 3.7 mph• Driving backwards – 0.6 mph to 1.4 mph• Push support – 1.9 mph to 3.4 mph.
